Every Tuesday, from 4pm-8pm, Birch Street in Downtown Brea holds a Farmers Market. Although it is quite small, the smell of churros, cotton-candy flavored popcorn, and homemade baked goods are still good enough reasons for me to pay it a visit from time-to-time.
Outdoor markets always seem like the opportune time to bring out the breezy chiffon dresses and strappy sandals. It’s such a comfortable combination that keeps you cool (not to mention happy feet!) while walking through vendors, and you’re able to transition this outfit for post-happy hour drinks. A big trend of mine in how I choose my outfits is versatility. I love day-to-night outfits because of their overall simplicity. Maxi dresses are one of my favorite pieces to easily throw on while giving off the illusion that you spent a lot of time getting ready that morning. Pick a pretty chiffon pattern that you can pair with a denim jacket to dress it down. This Elizabeth & James maxi has this wonderful watercolor-esque pattern with a gunmetal silver banded top that makes it a perfect Sunday brunch outfit, or in this case an effortlessly chic outfit to peruse around Farmers Markets on Tuesday afternoons.
